Student Resources

Canadian Virtual Medical University (CVMU)Project:

According to the WHO report, there will be a shortage of 10 million health workers worldwide by 2030, and the situation will worsen for developing nations, particularly in conflict zones. The traditional medical education system is often rigid, expensive, and time-consuming and cannot accommodate the future demands of the health workforce. In this context, the Canadian Virtual Medical University project stands out as a potential solution, providing students with the opportunity to access a high-quality education from the convenience of their homes. The project is under construction.

Vision:

The vision is to revolutionize health education and move its delivery from synchronous to asynchronous in the next ten years, ultimately benefiting humanity.

Mission:

The mission is to deliver health education through an alternative, cost-effective method using state-of-the-art technology. The goal is to address the global healthcare workforce shortage, focusing on enhancing the quality and quantity of healthcare and health education in developing nations.

Goals:

The Goal of this Virtual Medical Education University is:

  • To use innovative technology and teaching methods to enhance student learning and prepare students for successful careers in the healthcare field.
  • To create a flexible, cost-effective alternative to traditional medical schools for students who cannot attend in-person programs.

Given the increasing influence of technology in education, we anticipate the growing popularity of CVMU. Virtual medical schools, such as this, offer students the prospect of a high-quality education within the comfort of their homes.
